Important Notice - New Registration System - Please Read

The Borough of Paramus is now using Community Pass, an online registration and payment service for all of its’ Recreation programs and classes.  If you will be registering your children for any upcoming programs over the next year, please follow the below directions to activate your account.

As a resident with a current account in the previous registration system prior to 2/1/2016, a Community Pass online account has been established for you and your family.  If your account was created after 2/1/2016, please call the office for assistance.

To generate a temporary username and password which would enable you to login, please click the “Forgot my Username or Password” link on this page: https://register.capturepoint.com/ParamusBorough.  Click "Forgot my Username" and then enter the email address we have on file and the system will email the temporary login information.  Please keep in mind this may be a spouse’s email address, a work email address, etc; check whichever inbox normally receives updates about our classes.

It is important to activate your account NOW, because Summer/Fall registration begins on May 2nd.  In a few simple steps you will be prompted to change your username and password, and review your account information including the names of your family members.  Remember to save your username and password for future reference. Please note that only one login per family is permitted.

Once activated, you will also be ready to register yourself and your family members when an appropriate recreation program becomes available and pay with American Express, Visa or Mastercard.  There will be a $2.00 processing fee when paying by credit card.

You will also be able to view your transaction history at any time and print out receipts needed for tax purposes including flexible spending accounts.

*The Recreation Commission’s refund policy has changed.  Credits and refunds will no longer be issued for ANY withdrawal or cancellation.  Exceptions will not be made.*

Please note that as of Jan 1, credit card convenience fees for all borough departments will be set at 2.75% of the transaction amount, rather than a flat rate.

Important Registration Policies

Receipts:

Starting dates and other pertinent information will be posted on your receipt. For those signing up online, it is important that you print out your receipt. Those who take advantage of Mail-In Registration need to send a self-addressed and stamped envelope in order to have their receipts mailed to them.

Mail-In Registration:

All registration forms that are mailed in must include full payment. Checks should be made out to “Paramus Recreation.” Individual checks are needed for activities that have enrollment limitations. Those registration forms arriving without payment will be sent back unprocessed. It is not necessary to send individual envelopes for every member of your family. Mail-In registrations must include proper documentation if necessary. Please note the specific dates for mail-in registration.

First Time Registrants:

First time youth registrants and all adult registrants will be required to show proof of residency.Accepted forms of proof include: a Paramus driver's license, current tax or P.S.E.G. bill, water bill, renters agreement, deed to house or notarized letter from a landlord stating residency. The following are not accepted forms of proof: automobile registrations, bank checks or statements, cell phone bills, credit card bills. If proof is not provided at the time of sign ups, registration will be denied and "spots" will not be held. Forms that arrive without proper proof of residency will be sent back to the sender.

Copies of birth certificates need to accompany all applications for first time registrants. If this is not attached to the registration form, the registration will not be accepted and a "spot" will not be held.Forms that arrive without copies of birth certificates or copies of passports will be sent back to the sender.

Adult Registrants:

Adults signing up for Adult Soccer or Men’s Softball must provide proof of residency along with their registration form. No exceptions. Accepted forms of proof include: a Paramus driver's license, current tax or P.S.E.G. bill, water bill, renters agreement, deed to house or notarized letter from a landlord stating residency. The following are not accepted forms of proof: automobile registrations, bank checks or statements, cell phone bills, credit card bills. If proof is not provided at the time of sign ups, registration will be denied and "spots" will not be held. Forms that arrive without proper proof of residency will be sent back to the sender. Online registration is not available for adult programs.

Late Registrations:

Late registrations will be accepted as long as a program has not reached its maximum enrollment or is past its registration deadline. The registration deadline for each individual sport, including travel sports, can be found in the description of each individual activity.

A $4 late fee per person, per activity will be applied to all late registrations. Late fees are non-refundable. Late registrations are accepted in the office from 1:00-4:00pm on weekday afternoons.Late registrations may not be available online and some programs may fill up before the late registration period.

Registration Deadlines:

The registration deadline for each individual sport, including travel sports, can be found in the description of each individual activity. Some programs have a deadline while others have a maximum enrollment.
