The Paramus Animal Control Division operates a modern and clean Animal Shelter at the Life Safety Complex off of Carlough Drive. The Borough of Paramus maintains a no kill policy for healthy stray and abandoned animals. Paramus prides itself in making unwanted animals available for adoption to the public. Donations are accepted from prospective adopters. These donations provide funding for additional veterinary care and treatment of shelter pets. The shelter is open daily, anyone wishing to adopt a shelter pet should call the Animal Control Division at 201-649-0710 to arrange for a time to visit and see the animals.
